女士们、先生们：早上好！我院全体教工、家长们特别是今天的主角毕业生们：大家早上好！
又是一年毕业季。在这个特别的日子里，我要非常高兴地对你们说：祝贺你们！你们毕业了！我想你们所有的老师，无论今天是否在座，都为你们感到欣喜、都为你们感到骄傲，都会由衷地祝福你们！我此时此刻的心情和大家一样激动，我为你们感到骄傲和自豪。我想到了许多“第一”。我们今年有第一届日语专业毕业生，第一届硕士毕业生，第一届双专业毕业生和第一届专升本毕业生！再次祝贺你们！
不知大家是否还记得你们刚刚踏入北师大珠海分校时的情景。那时的你们怀着一颗稚嫩的心，顶着南国美丽的海滨城市的艳阳，来到这亚洲最美丽的山谷大学，开启自己人生的一个新阶段。你们在这里学习知识，树立理想，经历以前从未经历过的生活，结交可能是你们未来一生中最重要的朋友，和他们一起做着一件又一件使你们的大学“更加完整”的事情。那时的你们总觉得毕业遥遥无期，可转眼就开始各奔东西。当你们回答完毕业论文的最后一个问题，当你们换上学士服戴上学士帽，站在图书馆前、凤凰花下拍毕业照时，当你们抓住最后一些留在北师珠的日子聚餐狂欢时，当你们的手机不再连续响起班长或辅导员发的短信或微信通知时，当你们一觉睡过头吓得猛然惊醒才发现已经不用去教室上课时，你们可能才真切地感受到：我，真的要毕业了！
每每到这个时候，你们可能才真正体会到什么叫“满满的都是回忆”。
未来的日子里，你们可能会怀念我们美丽的校园，怀念校园里开着的艳丽的木棉和紫荆，怀念路上那棵在台风中摇曳的小树，怀念你在某个温柔的夜晚放到丽泽湖里的河灯和当时许下的心愿，甚至怀念四五月份没完没了的大雨以及说要将学校改名为“北师大威尼斯分校”的笑谈。
未来的日子里，你们可能会怀念陪伴你们度过四年的老师们，怀念坐在教室里听老师讲课的日子，怀念经历过的一次次听写和小测，怀念老师布置的作业，怀念做不完的Presentation和写不完的论文，怀念老师们的谆谆教诲，甚至那些曾被认为啰里啰嗦的话语。
未来的日子里，你们可能会怀念与你们一起度过大学生活的同学们，怀念睡在你上铺的兄弟或姐妹，怀念和他们一起在灯下奋笔疾书准备考试的场景，怀念和他们一起熬夜在图书馆排队等储物柜的夜晚，甚至会怀念和小伙伴们一起逃课的请假计划被辅导员破灭时的怨念。”他的女朋友真漂亮啊！” “哪个帅哥现在怎样了？”
你们中间，有的同学要远赴重洋，去另一个国度继续求学之路；有的同学已经考入国内的另一所高等学府，在那里继续充实自己的学识；有的同学则换上职业装扮，走进社会，走入职场，或成为一名翻译，或成为一位老师，或成为一个白领，等等。我想告诉你们，四年本科学习虽已结束，但求知之路未央。在你们新的人生旅途中，一定要记住“无一事而不学，无一时而不学，无一处而不学”。我们所处的时代是一个机遇与挑战并存、合作与竞争同在的时代，希望你们要养成不断学习、终身学习、高效学习的习惯，使自己具备成熟的思想、飘洒的风度、稳健的行动。当然，不断学习和思考也是抗衡岁月、永葆青春的良方。要知道，终将逝去的只是大学时光，永不消逝的是你们的青春。
在未来的日子里，你们心中要时刻铭记：回报社会、回报国家、回报母校、回报家庭、回报父母、回报师长，做一个积极乐观、有益于他人、勇于承担社会责任、永远懂得感恩的人。
同学们，今天，你们完成了大学四年的历练，即将开始新的人生旅途。前面的道路可能会有坎坷，甚至遍地荆棘，请你们珍重自己的身体，珍视你们的理想、才华和品德。未来面对挫折时，一定要保持乐观的心态，因为你们的背后有着强大的支柱：你们的父母会无条件支持你们，你们的母校一直以你们为荣，你们的老师们也时刻准备着为你们点32个赞。最后，我想对你们说：青春无敌，理想万岁。同学们，毕业快乐！勇敢的飞向远方吧！

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, staff members of the School of Foreign Languages, parents and above all, graduates!
It is your graduation day today. At this special moment of delight and expectation, I would like, on behalf of the School of Foreign Languages and in my own name to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you all! You have fulfilled your task as an undergraduate or MA at BNUZ and you are going to embark on a new journey in your life. Now, I know your beloved parents and teachers are delighted to share this joyful moment with you and I am sure they are proud of you. I am proud of you, too. At this moment, I am thinking of many “first time” for this graduation. We have the first BA graduates of Japanese Majors. We have the first graduates of Master of Education. We have the first graduates of Double Majors and we have the first graduates of BA from associate degrees. Congratulations!
My dear students, do you remember the first day when you stepped in this beautiful university by the name of BNUZ, legend as the most beautiful campus in Asia? At that time, you must be full of curiosity about this fascinating campus where you would live and study for the following four years. It was on this campus that you would pursue your dreams, to experience a different lifestyle, to make lifelong friends and so on.
Four years ago, you probably thought graduation was very far from you. Time flies. Now you have graduated and will leave us soon. When you answered your last question for your thesis defense; when you wore your graduation gown to take pictures in front of the library; when you took your last chance to have a party with your classmates; when you no longer needed to receive text messages or We-chat from your monitor or your student advisor; when you woke up and pleasantly realized you would not go to classes anymore, you would not be afraid of being late for classes, you have realized “I am already a graduate” and four years of learning experience would reappear and they are so fragrant memories.
After you leave us, you may miss this beautiful campus, you may miss the lovely flowers and trees, you will miss the floating lanterns in the lake on that romantic night when you had your sincere wishes; You may also miss BNUZ although the endless heavy rains in April or May frustrated you, or you will never forget the day when BNUZ became a Venetian campus for a while.
After you leave us, you may miss the teachers who were with you for the past four years, your days in the class, your dictations, quizzes, assignments, endless presentations and papers.
Many years later, you will find your memories of your classmates at the university a treasure and untold happiness; “Ah, Jane was my roommate”; “Sharon was on the top layer of our bunk bed.” ; “His girlfriend was so beautiful!”; “What is the handsome boy doing now?” You will miss the days staying up with your roommates to prepare for the coming examinations and the fun you managed to have in spite of the stress of preparations.
I know you are the same as me, filled with mixed feelings at this special moment of departure.
Some of you will further your MA studies at home or abroad; some will find jobs as translators, interpreters, teachers, etc. I would like to say here that although your university life has come to an end, the pursuing of knowledge is a lifelong journey. On this journey, you must remember learning is a permanent subject. We are living in a society full of chances and challenges, cooperation and competition. I encourage you to work hard to be a lifelong and efficient learner so as to make yourself a better person and a creative person at the same time.
My dear graduates, on this special occasion of starting your new commitments, I would like to share with you my understanding and wishes for you.
First, Be Grateful. Bernard Meltzer once observed, Blessed are those who give without remembering. And blessed are those who take without forgetting.” Focus on what you have, not on what you haven’t. An ungrateful person doesn’t count his blessings and is so busy complaining about everything that he misses out on what could be nice and beautiful otherwise. Being grateful means: Don’t take others’ love and kindness for granted. Remember to say “Thank you” to your beloved parents and teachers, and your colleagues in the days to come.
Further, Be Optimistic. An optimistic person always keeps a positive perspective about life; Sometimes life is not easy but optimism is like a lighthouse to guide you through the darkness and hardships of life.
Finally, Be Responsible. A sense of responsibility is directly proportionate to the opportunities you will receive. Responsibility is the best pathway to your success.
My dear graduates, life is always full of ups and downs. When you face difficulties and hardships in the future, please stay optimistic as your parents and we, your Alma Mater will always support you. The School of Foreign Languages is always your home.
