2015年9月15日晚，来自深圳大学的刘毅教授在我校励耘楼B408为大一新生做了一场关于如何学习外语的讲座。

刘毅教授认为，平行话语和垂直话语是知识类型的两种基本形式，同学们的平行话语已经掌握，但垂直话语的学习则要经过专业、系统、科学的研究获得，他重点强调了母语和外语学习的区别，其中，母语的学习与看护人语言、家庭环境和社会环境密切相关。刘教授通过切身经历，体会到外教教学在外语学习中的重要性，务必坚持”Speak English, 7 days a week, and 24 hours a day.” 只有让自己长期处于一种使用英语的环境和状态里，才能真正的说好英语，尤其是澳门沙金在线平，由一半以上的教师来自母语为英语或日语的国家，同学们更应该充分利用四年的学习机会，得到一把开启未来大门的金钥匙

学术迎新是我校新生入学教育的重要组成部分，此次讲座，为大一新生进一步的专业学习指点了迷津。

Lecture: How to Learn English

An academic lecture about how to learn English was given by Professor Liu Yi from Shenzhen University on September 15th.

At first, Professor Liu asked us a question, “Have we really studied English well since we have learned this language in our early years?” In his opinion, learning foreign language well is very important.Professor Liu highlighted the differences between mother language and foreign languages. The language of keepers speak, family environment and social environment are important factors.

What’s more, he shared his story with us. His foreign teacher told him the secrets of learning English: “Speak English 7 days a week and 24 hours a day”. The best way to grasp English is to make sure that you stay in an English environment for a long time. Professor Liu encouraged us to use “round words” to express the word you don’t know. He told us that he learned a new word for “check in” in this wan, which was so impressive to him.

This lecture is very informative and instructive to our students. All students show their appreciations to Professor Liu.
