Due to the cold air raid in Zhuhai today, the temperature dropped 10 degrees and it was raining outside tonight. Dr. Aviva Shimelman attended the English corner.
Dr. Aviva Shimelman welcomed the students and then asked them if they had studied the instruments like the piano and the guitar. She said that music was one kind of wonderful things. She liked music very much in her free time but she also said that she couldn’t sing songs well because she was a little bit shy. Dr. Aviva Shimelman mentioned a city named Toronto in Canada. She said Toronto was a beautiful place to travel, but the winter in Toronto was cold and the traffic was crowded like Beijing. She asked the English movies which the students had seen. And one of the students talked about a movie named Troy, which was about a war in Greece. She said it sounded great though she hadn’t seen it. Dr. Aviva Shimelman also mentioned the mahjong in China. She knew just a little about it. She didn’t believe the fortune and had never prayed for it before the game. But it was strange that she could win many times. Aviva thought that there were many interesting places in China and she hoped she could travel around China and eat much delicious food. Hearing these words, a student wondered the wonderful things in New York. She introduced the fascinating buildings in New York and they were very worth visiting. She also said people in New York were very warm.
The English corner is a place where we can gain knowledge and happiness.
