演讲内容简介:
Ged will talk about his early life in the North of England and various technological, political and social changes that had an effect on his life. When you read about historical facts and the events, they appear to be just “Cold facts” without any meaning or implication. What really happens in true life often goes unrecorded and in any case, it is a localised personal account of what was significant to you at the time. This is not so much about my personal family, but a retrospective look back at town life through a period of some 30 years. Why does my talk end after the 1990’s ? because I emigrated to New Zealand at that time and so a whole new chapter of my life began.
