题目：Judo, Science and Language Learning – Lessons Learned the Gentle Way

演讲人： Mike Fisher

Mike Fisher originally hails from Canada. He has spent much of his life bouncing around the globe while learning about our wonderful world. Highlights include sparring with champions in both hapkido (Korea) and judo (Canada), being chased by an angry hippo across one of the Great Lakes in Africa, driving motorcycle through the Rocky Mountains, being vocalist in the ETs (a rock band), and working on both poverty alleviation and education. At different times in his life he has been conversation capable of four different languages; he still claims competency in English. He loves to teach, has taught English for 10 years, and enjoys coaching as well.

演讲内容简介：

Mr. Mike Fisher will tie three of his favourite topics into a presentation about learning. First he will talk about the origins of modern judo as application of scientific method to real-world problem solving. He will then explore scientific method as a possible avenue for other kinds of learning. Finally he will discuss applications of this method to language learning.
