Mr. Christopher Dockstader
My name is Christopher Dockstader. I have lived in Japan and China for six years each. With the exception of some Chinese teachers, I have been here the longest at BNU.
I have certificates in Japanese and Chinese languages as well as many teaching certificates.
My major is English Education and my hobbies include swimming, exercising at the gym and Japanese archery. I also spend my time reading Japanese and Chinese.
I have also written a book on English mistakes in China and hope to help the Chinese students as much as possible by pointing out their common mistakes. Since we only have one hour and thirty-five minutes every two weeks with each class, it is most imperative that we provide students with a chance to make a difference in their English. As a foreigner I am trying to do my best to provide some influence in their English. BNU wants their foreign teachers to be as useful as possible to the education of their students.
BNU is growing slowly, and I hope that all the students will be able to focus their attentions on their marks and make BNU a stronger school. What makes a school is not only teachers, but the history of its'' students.
