At 7:00 PM on May 26, the weekly Movie Nights were held by Mr. Tim Musgrave from the Faculty of Foreign Languages in Liyun Building Room B208 as usual. The movie “Police Academy” is a detective comedy movie including all kinds of humor.

The movie is directed by Hugh Wilson. It tells a story that a newly-elected woman mayor of an unnamed city announces a policy requiring the police department to accept all willing recruits, and effectively abolishing fitness requirements, educational levels, and medical standards. Not everyone in the police force is satisfied with the new changes. Although the process is full of hardships and joys, at last Mahoney and Hightower both graduate from the academy along with the other passing cadets, and for their rescue of Lt. Harris and capture of his kidnapper, both receive the academy''s highest commendation ever bestowed upon a cadet.

Some students said that they not only knew some American humor, but also learned that they should help each other to gain others’ recognition.
