北京师范大学外国语言文学学院博士生导师，河北省高校外语教学研究会秘书长，河北省翻译工作者协会副会长，中国高校语法教学研究会常务理事。 研究课题涉及社会语言学、语篇分析，英语语言教学等领域。已发表的主要论文有：《从社会语言学的角度看汉语禁忌语》，《高级阅读课中的写作活动》，《语义结构》评介，《中国的英语交际能力教学》，《论语用隐语》等等。

Professor Tian Guisen, a doctoral supervisor, is the director-general of the College Foreign Language Teaching Association of Hebei Province, vice chairman of the Translators’ Association of Hebei Province, and standing director of China’s Collage Grammar Teaching Association. His research areas involve sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, and teaching of the English language. His works include A Sociolinguistic Approach to Taboo-words in Chinese, Writing Activities in the Advanced Reading Class, A Review on Semantic Structure, Teaching of English Communicative Abilities in China, On Pragmatic Metaphors, and so on.
