On the evening of May 7th, Mr. Christopher Dockstader, Mr. Martin Stannard, Mr. Gerard Brent, Mr. Sean McHugh, Mr. Leck Wall and Ms. Dulene Cipiriano were present at the English corner.
The definition of a good teacher varies from person to person. Teachers themselves are no exception because they also have the experience of being a student. When students referred to their favorite kind of teachers, Mr. Christopher Dockstader introduced a great philosopher, Jean-Paul Sartre, who was knowledgeable and also capable of explaining academic problems in simple words.
With accounts of different social networking tools, such as Wechat, Facebook and QQ, Mr. Gerard Brent gets along with the students. Students said he was a fashionable teacher and they had many topics to share.
Mr. Sean McHugh held that teaching needed enthusiasm. He almost attends the English corner every week to communicate with the students voluntarily. Students liked him so much that they were making a plan to celebrate Mr. Sean’s birthday this Friday together.
Mr. Leck Wall said he didn’t like teachers that were too serious, for the reason that it might keep the students away from communicating well with the teachers.
Hasn’t the key to be a popular teacher been shown in teachers’speech and manner tonight?
